Delivery & Returns
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Every painting is packed by hand and sent insured. If it is not right for you, you have 14 days to change your mind. This page explains how both work.
1. Where we deliver
We deliver across the United Kingdom, and you are welcome to collect in person from Bradford BD12 by arrangement. For deliveries outside the UK, please email us before ordering and we will quote for carriage.
2. Packing and dispatch
- Paintings are wrapped in acid-free tissue, then bubble wrap, then a double-walled box, with corner protection for framed work.
- We aim to dispatch within 3 to 5 working days of your payment clearing.
- We send by insured, tracked courier. The carrier varies with the size of the painting and where it is going, and we will email you the tracking number once it is on its way.
- Someone will need to sign for the parcel.
3. Costs and timescales
| Service | Time | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| UK mainland, insured and tracked | 3 to 5 working days after dispatch | £35.00 |
| UK offshore and islands, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Scottish islands, the Channel Islands and the Isles of Scilly | 5 to 7 working days after dispatch | £75.00 |
| Collection in person from Bradford BD12, by arrangement | Once we have agreed a time | Free |
Dispatch takes 3 to 5 working days from payment, and the times above are in addition to that. So a painting going to the UK mainland normally arrives within 6 to 10 working days of your order, and one going offshore within 8 to 12. The cost is shown before you pay. Unless we agree otherwise, we will deliver within 30 days of your order at the latest.
4. If your painting arrives damaged, or does not arrive at all
Please open and check your painting as soon as it arrives. If it is damaged:
- Keep all the packaging.
- Photograph the damage and the packaging.
- Email hello@daryllakeyart.com within 24 hours of delivery.
If your painting has not arrived, please tell us within 7 days of the last expected delivery date so that we can trace it.
We ask for 24 hours on damage because that is the window most carriers allow us to make a claim, and telling us quickly is what lets us put things right fastest. It is not a time limit on your rights. We will arrange a repair, a replacement where possible, or a full refund. This is in addition to your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, set out in section 6 below, and does not affect them.
5. Your right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you may cancel your order within 14 days of the day after you receive the painting, without giving any reason.
You then have a further 14 days from telling us to send the painting back.
How to cancel
Email hello@daryllakeyart.com saying clearly that you wish to cancel, with your name, address and order details. You may use the form at the bottom of this page, but you do not have to. We will acknowledge your cancellation by email.
Sending it back
- Please return the painting in its original packaging wherever possible, well protected and insured for its full value.
- You are responsible for the cost of returning the painting, and for it reaching us safely, so please use an insured, tracked service.
- Please do not send a painting back before telling us. Email us first and we will confirm the return address once we have agreed what is coming back, so that we can expect it and refund you promptly.
Your refund
- We refund within 14 days of receiving the painting back, or of you showing us proof that you have sent it, whichever comes first.
- We refund to the payment method you used.
- Your refund includes the standard delivery cost we charged you. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we refund the standard cost only.
- You may handle the painting as you would in a gallery. If its value is reduced because it has been handled more than that, we may deduct that amount from your refund.
When the right to cancel does not apply
Commissions are made to your specification, so the 14-day right to cancel does not apply to them once work has begun. Our Terms & Conditions explain how commissions and deposits work.
6. If something is faulty
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are separate from, and in addition to, the right to cancel above. If a painting is faulty or not as described, you have 30 days from delivery to reject it for a full refund. After 30 days you may ask for a repair or replacement. Email us and we will put it right.
7. Model cancellation form
You can copy this into an email if you wish. You do not have to use it.
